TOWER FOREMAN


Blue Sky Communications has an immediate need for Tower Foreman with experience running a tower crew! This full-time opportunity comes with a competitive wage, paid time off, paid holidays, full benefit package (medical, dental and vision), after 60 days, as well as optional 401k program!

Applicants must have an emphasis on the Wireless Industry. The Tower Foreman will be responsible for the performance of various construction tasks in the areas of tower erection, coaxial cable and antenna installation, antenna mount installation, RF testing and troubleshooting. This position is for candidates with experience in cellular construction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 Years Tower and Telecommunications Experience.
  • Versatility to work within constantly changing priorities with flexibility.
  • Technical aptitude and a positive attitude to succeed and continuously learn.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a member of various teams.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Responsible for site crew quality, timeliness, accuracy, and schedule.
  • Lead work on tower top, looking after all aspects of work while at the tower site, ensuring that a quality installation has been performed.
  • Assist on overall job on ground work as well, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain safe work environment.
  • Provide all documentation for closeout.
  • Must be able to read & comprehend Construction Drawings and RFDS’s.
  • Tower Foreman performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends
  • Clean Driving Record preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically able to climb heights of up to 500’ per day.
  • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Complete detailed reports and forms.
  • Some travel required with overnight trips (per diem provided).

TOWER TECHNICIAN (Top Hand)


Blue Sky Communications has an immediate need for several openings of Tower Technician I (Top Hand) in our Phoenix office! This full-time opportunity comes with a competitive wage, paid time off, paid holidays, full benefit package (medical, dental and vision), after 60 days, as well as optional 401k program!

Applicants must have an emphasis on the Wireless Industry. The Tower Technician I (Top Hand) will be responsible for the performance of various construction tasks in the areas of tower erection, coaxial cable and antenna installation, antenna mount installation, assist with RF testing and troubleshooting. This position is for candidates with experience in cellular construction. Technicians will be required to perform most of the elevated construction activity and may be asked to supervise entry level techs at elevation.

Qualifications:

  • Required to work at heights installing telecom/radio equipment/materials on cell towers, for carriers such as Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, etc.
  • Interprets various documents (e.g. blueprints, diagrams, manufacturer specifications, etc.) to ensure proper installation of antenna systems using technical expertise, and knowledge of blueprints and diagrams.
  • Operate or assist with testing of new and existing equipment. May include sweep, PIM, or fiber testing.
  • Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools.
  • Preparation & cleaning of sites.
  • Practicing company safety standards on the job site.
  • Ability to work reliably under minimal supervision.
  • Supervision of entry level technicians at elevation.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in cellular construction
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends
  • Clean Driving Record preferred

ELECTRICAL FOREMAN


Blue Sky Communications has an immediate need for Electrical Foremen in our Phoenix office! This full-time opportunity comes with a competitive wage, paid time off, paid holidays, full benefit package (medical, dental and vision), after 60 days, as well as optional 401k program!

Ideal applicants with an emphasis on the Wireless Industry is a plus! Electrical Foreman will supervise and perform electrical duties, ensuring quality work for the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repairs of electrical systems used in cell-towers and equipment. Electrical Foreman are responsible for the supervision of Electrical Technicians, Subcontractors and job site personnel to complete scope of work assigned. Electrical Foreman will lead by example and practice company safety standards on the job site.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years electrical background required, preferably telecommunications.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing and mobilizing staff, materials and subcontractors to meet progression schedule.
  • Identify all materials and other resources needed to complete project, and coordinate resources to meet electrical schedules.
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain wiring, equipment, and lighting necessary to the construction, upgrade, and maintenance of cell tower equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical plans and implement them as specified.
  • Ability to recognize and enforce a safe work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical problems.
  • Inspect and approve all sub-contractor’s work.
  • Schedule and coordinate with all local authorities for required inspections.
  • Finalize all inspections to close project.
  • Ensure tasks assigned to crew are completed in timely, quality manner.
  • Train and assist employees in completing tasks. Professionally interact with client representatives.
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or weekends
  • Clean Driving Record preferred

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

CIVIL FOREMAN


Blue Sky Communications has an immediate need for Civil Foremen in our Phoenix office! This full-time opportunity comes with a competitive wage, paid time off, paid holidays, full benefit package (medical, dental and vision), after 60 days, as well as optional 401k program!

Applicants are expected to maintain full control of their crew’s production. You may be operating skidsteer, small excavators or other equipment. Civil Foreman will conduct civil construction activities including excavation, carpentry, installation of formwork, rebar, pouring concrete, finishing concrete, landscaping, and heavy equipment operation.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in construction or related field and experience managing crews.
  • Able to work around and with cranes and forklifts.
  • Installation of underground conduits and grounding installation.
  • Concrete foundations.
  • Light Pole and Tower foundations.
  • Operate equipment including mini-excavator, bobcat, backhoes, etc.
  • Ability to perform basic computer related tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in construction or related field and experience using hand and power tools.
